News
The best news is that it is summer, the sun is out, and the "livin is easy". I spent 2 weeks in Europe in April and another 2 weeks in May. Business is slow there as it is here, though I have been lucky enough to make the trips work for me. (Additionally, friends and occasional musical performances make these trips glorious regardless!) The two smaller shows in the summer still viable are the Macungie, Pa. show and Morphy's show in York, Pa. the first and last Saturdays in August... both of which I will exhibit at.
The August 2010 issue of Maine Antique Digest featured an article on American Jazz, a copy of which can be accessed here.
I find myself spending more and more time in front of the computer and less and less time running around to "the elysian fields" of antique markets and shows. Not that this makes me particularly happy as I much prefer the "chase" to the "surf". However, there is no question in my mind that the future of the Antique business lies in the digital world much like the rest of the culture. (Happily, this is not the case with the Arts where performance and museums still reign.)
At any rate, I will try to continue to put new listings on the website. If you are not receiving my monthly e-letters, please contact me and I will get them to you. And...I am always happy to hear from any of you out there about anything or nothing in particular.
