I am uncertain what this doll was made for. It seems to have a theatrical feel to it and may have been used as a marionette for a classic play. Whatever it was made for, it is decorative, hand-made and has a highly artistic costume made of silk, gold braiding and a black beaded cape. It is 19" tall with glass eyes.
